After 4 years of re-positioning the Culpeper brand, re-introducing some ‘cult’ products as well as developing many new ones, Brian Hay, Managing Director and Debbie Hill, Head of design, felt that it was an appropriate time to showcase a new ‘look and feel’ in a Culpeper shop.

Working from the Culpeper brand book that had been put together by the internal design team, Burtt-Jones and Brewer were briefed to come up with an innovative, cost effective and visually appealing solution to updating the shopfit of this well-loved brand.

After their initial presentation, and an overwhelmingly positive reaction from the Culpeper team, Burtt-Jones and Brewer were appointed to the project and were given complete freedom with the design concept, with a view to implementing this in a new shop opening in Black Jack Street, in Cirencester.

The project took around 8 months to complete and the door of the new shop opened in the first week of December 2009, in time for the peak Christmas trade. Culpeper and their customers have been delighted with the outcome and there has been much positive feedback about how attractive the shop looks.

Our relationship with Adam and Steve throughout the project has been easy and fruitful in all aspects. The creative flair and attention to detail has been key. Clarity of plans and detailed sample boards have made the whole process simple to understand and communicate to all interested parties.

We are delighted with the shop fitters we engaged, who were themselves meticulous in their attention to detail and quality of their work. The extraordinary detail and accuracy of the whole drawing and planning process ensured a relatively painless delivery of the finished unit.

We will not hesitate in engaging Adam and Steve to work in re-fitting existing shop units as well as working on delivering a modest opening programme over the next couple of years.
